Dr. Robert A. White, Jr. is a pastor, writer, teacher, and founder of Enspirit Resources—a platform dedicated to empowering lives through wisdom, resilience, and spiritual insight. A lifelong educator and minister, Dr. White has served as Senior Pastor of Locust Grove Baptist Church in New Market, Alabama since 1985 and is a Professor of Religious Studies at Athens State University, where he also directs the Coleman Center for Religious Studies and Ethics.
With over four decades of experience in pastoral ministry and higher education, Dr. White brings a unique voice to conversations at the intersection of faith, philosophy, leadership, and culture. He has developed and taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses exploring everything from biblical studies and theopoetics to ethics and transformational leadership.
A published author and frequent conference presenter, Dr. White has written extensively on metaphorical theology, Christian thought, and spiritual formation. His most recent work, Begin Again – Reinventing Your Life in Any Season, invites readers into the art of transformation, drawing from his own journey of renewal and calling.
Robert is married to his lifelong companion and travel partner, Vickie White. Together, they have raised two sons and now delight in the joy of five grandchildren. The Whites share a deep love for discovering the beauty and diversity of the world. Their travels have taken them to Turkey, Greece, France, Israel, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Alaska, Canada, Nova Scotia, and Hawaii—each journey enriching their faith, relationships, and sense of wonder.
Through Enspirit, Dr. White continues to inspire individuals and communities to grow deeper, lead well, and live fully—at any stage of life.
